David, I'm on a Mac, and I also have .643. I don't know where your source gets their information. It may be a Windows update, but I have no idea. I've heard nothing about an update.

Did Finale's in-app updater tell you that there is a new update available? The latest update is v26.3.1.643 for Mac. 

Not a cache issue-it's back up for me now so probably something that went down temporarily on the server. But here's what it looked like an hour ago.

Could .1644 be a foreign language build or one that uses a different licensing  scheme (site license, private server etc.)?

Don't know but when I see an incremental build number, that would be my guess. But then, I was in software and IP licensing for many years.

MacUpdater's database is not the authoritative source on this, Dave Cusick is.

I'm not debating if someone who actually works at MakeMusic knows about the status of a Finale update. But the fact that MacUpdater did indicate a software update was available plus the downloads page was down on my end seemed to be a reasonable cause to at least ask about it on this forum. If you think I should have merely ignored all that, then let's agree to disagree. I have never known macupdater to be wrong about updates in the past, so its track record is pretty good.

You did not post a version number that anyone could think to be an update. 

Well I did think it was an update. Why would I not think that?
