Windows 10 - Finale 26.3

I have several measures in an organ score where the notes are tied. The initial note has an accidental (i.e., f#) which continues through the extent of the tie. However, on playback, only the initial note accidental is played, in the next measure, playback replays the note, but without the accidental. Do I have to put courtesy accidentals and then hide them in order for playback to play properly?

No, it is simpler than that.

Enter the first note, but do not add tie.

Enter the tied-to note without (backward) tie (but at the correct pitch, using accidental on the note).

Next, add the tie.

As you add the tie, Finale will hide the note accidental.

This has been an issue for years. I’ve just trained myself to tap the + or - keys on the numberpad as I’m entering notes. But it’s on my list as a longstanding, unfixed bug.
