I can see the New Page icon, but I cannot select it, and I see nothing in the Page Tool that would let me undo it.
How do I get rid of a forced new page.
No, Mike, not a blank page.
This is a file from 2006 (although I have updated it each time a new version of Finale came out). I had added a page break at a point when I wanted a formerly invisible staff to appear; but now I am respacing it and wanted the page break gone.
I finally found a way to deactivate the page break via a right-click context menu in the handle of the system in question while in the page tool. So I guess I have solved the problem. Finding that command really had me stumped, and I was not lucky enough to find it searching the online help.

By your words “page tool” you probably mean the Page Layout Tool.
The command {Delete Page Break} is not only in the context menu, but also in the Page Layout menu.
… The trick is what to select to activate the option. I tried clicking on the New Page icon, the first measure of the new page, and the first measure stack of the new page before I stumbled on the handle of the system …
When you are in the Page Layout Tool, you can just click inside a system, to select it.
Then the command {Delete Page Break} is activated.
