I don’t use it (no need) but many forum users have Perfect Layout, and swear by it.

I am a Perfect Layout owner and user and I am one of the ones that love it. Matter of fact I can't see using Finale with out it now. I run it on everything I compose or arrange even small solo with piano accompaniment to full symphonic band scores.

The other not really a plugin but I consider mandatory if you are a Finale user is Note Performer 4. If you would like to see what PL can do for your scores you can send one to https://elbsound.studio/perfect-layout/ and they will run it on your score so you can see if it is for you.

If you want to see how or what it does here is my latest score https://youtu.be/ss8ySEfD12Q  it has had PL run on it with the default settings as it ships. It also has Note Performer 4 again  just as it comes no edits or tweaks by me.

Keep in mind when entering whatever in Finale just let Finale put it where it puts it. Just make sure it is attached to the correct note or measure it needs to be. When done run PL and the score sample I linked to is the result. If you don't like the default settings Perfect Layout has many, many settings you can edit.

IMHO, Perfect Layout should be included with Finale from the factory since MM can't seem to do what it does with a few simple mouse clicks.

So, yes, to Perfect Layout and Note Performer 4.

Again, IMHO, TG Tools Pro is no longer needed for the most part if you own Perfect Layout. I almost never use TG Tools anymore.

I know you are asking about boughten plugins but there are a few free plugins that are really useful. Page format wizard for one. Check here  https://www.finalelua.com/scripts  These are really not plugins; they are scripts.

Patterson Beams, JW Copy Part, JW Polyphony, and JW Change all included with 27.4.1.

I like very much the Patterson Tuplet Mover (paid version) and all the JW and RgpLua... but, because of the PL high price do you think that a combination of the just quoted ones could replace PL, even partially...?

If efficiency is your aim, then I would think that PL is better than three or four individual plugins. If, of course, it does what you need. Why not take EB’s suggestion and send in a score as a test?

Everyone can have different requirements so they may need different solutions. For me and the work I typically like to do, as shown in the link I offered, the plug-ins listed and Note Performer 4 do an outstanding job. I also have the paid version of TG Tools Pro but I didn't even install it when I upgraded to 26.3 let alone when I went to 27.4.1. I simply didn't use it because PL tales care of so much stuff. And, PL works best if you just let Finale do its thing and put stuff where it wants to.

Jan Angermüller at Elbsound.studio gets a lot of requests and inquiries so be patient. He is a very patient man believe me.  He will get back with you.

BTW, if you checked out and looked at the sample from You Tube I linked to you can see what PL and NP4 can do for you with just the default settings. If you do similar work yours will look the same.

I do use Audacity to make the mp3 file and although not a plugin it is fantastic and free.

Mac users do not need 3rd party apps to create mp3 files. QuickTime, AppleMusic and GarageBand are part of the macOS—all can perform this simple task. .

Although I was referring to myself, if I had a Mac which I don't I would still use Audacity. You know you can get Quick Time for Windows? I had it for a while, it is not Audacity by any means unless they have upgraded it a whole lot.

I generate my MP3s directly from Finale.
