I installed yesterday, started working on a piece of music today, got the notes in and when I went to do lyrics it froze. Closed it, reopened, same thing. Lyrics freeze.

Okay, Windows 10, Finale 25. What more can I say? The lyrics function freezes the whole program. Also, some templates I designed myself and had saved in 14.5 are not there anymore. Can I find them and copy them or do I have to design them again?

Templates for Finale (v25), Finale 2014, and Finale 2014.5 are located in separate Music Files folders each located inside the appropriate Finale folder.

 

 

As to lyrics freezing your program, the first thing I'd check is what font is selected for lyrics in Preferences and whether the font is available (on your computer and not in a folder to which you do not have access permissions).

Well, I rebooted the pc and it seems to work fine now. I'll go track down the finale templates. Thanks for that!
