I have an imac sierra.  I have just installed the new version of Finale 25.2  I'm concerned that when I click on my Finale icon at the bottom of my desktop bar it still displays as 25.0 instead of 25.2  What else do I need to do to have the correct icon description information display properly?

Hi John,

Thanks for your question. Finale v25.2 would overwrite v25.0, so the dock icon should be v25.2. To verify that the installation was successful, launch Finale by clicking the Dock icon. Then, close the Launch Window and choose Finale > About Finale from the top menu.

When you say "Desktop Bar", do you mean the Dock, or something else? The Dock should just say "Finale", and not have a version number.

However, many things in OS X are cached, so a restart should probably fix it.

I had trouble finding an icon for Finale v25 on my Mac El Capitan laptop until I uninstalled 2014.5. I probably could have altered the shortcut in Applications somehow, but the Mac is not my primary machine and so I didn't investigate further once I uninstalled 2014.5 and the v25 shortcut worked.
