All of a sudden, when I hit the Play icon, everything goes grey but there is no playback.  I just found one that would play but no scrolling green line, even though "Scrolling" is selected.  There IS one little green light above the calculator numbers that has a little down arrow, but things have been playing just fine with that on, so I don't know what the problem is, and I can't find anything in Troubleshooting to fix it.  Appreciate any help.  Probably something simple.  BTW, I use this ALL the time.

Have you restarted the computer? Refreshed the Preferences?

Might the little green light mean numberpad is on?

Finale 2011 is thirteen years old, and rated for Windows 8 or earlier. (Mac OS up to 10.9 Mavericks).

If things have been working fine until now, then it probably is a configuration issue, rather than a compatibility one; but realistically, F2011 is even more dead than F27, and you should be looking to ways of migrating to newer software.

Brian Beck,

You are using Windows 10 - right?

Finale 2011 is not supported on Windows 10.

I agree with Ben Byram-Wigfield: you should be looking to ways of migrating to newer software.

And probably not. It isn't Windows 11 vs Windows 8 or whatever. You have a conflict somewhere on your machine. Something changed and is causing the conflict.

However if you are a Mac guy you are likely SOL. Who knows what Apple did to the OS but they did something and now it won't work.. One solution is for $149 bucks you can get Dorico 5 and Finale 27 with the cross upgrade offer. Log onto your Finale account.
