I am trying to install a 2007 version on finale allegro on my new Mac air running High Sierra.  Once I get it installed and try to notate everything I input smaller than a quarter appears as a quarter note.  Nothing will beam.  If I input eighth notes they appear as 8 quarter notes.  Any insight into this problem would be helpful.

Don't spend too much time on it. 2007 just plain is not compatible with High Sierra. Really, the only thing that is, is F25. You should contact MM for the upgrade price.

Check out the Finale v25 demo to see if that improves your results. Asking F 2017 to work on HighSierra is begging for problems.

How in the world did you get it installed? I've no interest in making it work but you aroused my curiosity. I think my 2007 CD actually laughed when I inserted it into my iMac just now. Anyway, Finale 25.5 is the version guaranteed to install and work properly in Mac OS 10.13.x.

 

You're eligible for upgrade pricing either directly through your MM User account. Some resellers might have it at a better price if you shop around.
