I had the same problem.  When I tried to register, my browser wouldn't display the registration page at Finale's web site.  For me, the problem was a couple layers deep.  First, my browser (IE 8) was old and couldn't process the registration page.  So I looked for another browser.

The next browser I tried (Slimjet) wouldn't run.  A friend suggested that it used more memory than my computer had, so I looked for a lightweight browser.  I found K-Meleon.  Not only did it run, it also displayed the registration page, let me log in and displayed a serial number.  I used that serial number to register NotePad.  All is well now!

Help please, I have been using Finale Notepad 2012 for some time, I am not a musician so just use it to help learning my singing.  I suddenly lost the playing capability so uninstalled and re-installed but now nothing works, I am not asked to register it although I have a previous registration number, when I click on register Finale in the help option it freezes, it will not play, everything goes blank when I press the play arrow.  I have not changed anything from when it downloaded so am completely lost.  Any advice would be helpful.

Hi, Sally.  Have you tried downloading the program from the website rather than re-installing it from the file you already have on your computer?  I don't know whether that would work for you--it's just a thought.

What is your operating system? Mac or Windows? What version?

What MikeR asks. If a Mac over Mojave, you will get this — there's no workaround except to upgrade to the full version of Finale.

If Windows, try downloading again from your MM Users Account, reinstalling then reboot.

Thanks for all the suggestion. I am Windows 10 and have now downloaded from every conceivable place. I have a registration number on my account and have loaded from there and from the website but it still all fades out when I try playback. I seem to be able to add notes but no sound or playback. I am very confused. I'll have a go at any suggestions I get. Thanks again you are all very kind.
