I do not experience this problem.

How does your (QWERTY) keyboard work with other programs? The only thing I can think of is a keyboard problem, but it seems unlikely that would only affect Finale.

With all the reinstalling you have presumably restarted both Finale and restarted your computer, which are the other two general suggestions people make for quirky problems.

Please let us know here when you (or someone else) figures out what is causing the problem. You can use the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page to submit your problem directly to MakeMusic support, but they may not be able to respond until Monday.

Do you have another keyboard you could try? Like Adrian, I don't have this issue.

Thanks for the response. I did try a usb keyboard that I have and experienced the same issues. I am at a loss.

If you Google Space bar is not working in Windows 10, you will find many threads covering many apps but most concern Microsoft Word. This is probably not just a Finale issue.

The spacebar seems to trigger the sidebar scroll down; when pressed, it momentarily drags the screen down one space. It happens in the text tool, the lyrics tool, and any tool when I tap the spacebar on the page off the staff. It's frustrating because I have to move the mouse to the next lyric instead of spacing to the next syllable.  It does not function that way on any program other than Finale. 

You definitely want support to look at it but many Win 10 users are having space bar issues in many apps. It may be a settings or driver issue.

I'm having this same issue in Finale 25 on my Windows 7 system. I can't get spacing between words of Text when I hit the spacebar. The spacebar works fine in other programs like Word, Excel, Notepad, etc. This problem only showed up this year.

I completely wiped all the Finale files off my computer, also using Regedit to make sure nothing with MakeMusic or Finale was left, and then reloaded Finale. Still doing the same thing.

I suspect it might be a Windows update in the past 6 months, but I haven't bothered to dump those one by one to find out.
