Simple Entry Palette resets after removing tools - SOLVED

Hi, in the latest version of Finale 25 I have customized my tool palettes to show only those tools I use.

The problem is that for the Simple Entry Palette, the only tool I use is the Repitch Tool. If I delete all of the other Simple Entry tools, save my preferences, exit and reopen Finale, the full Simple Entry Palette is displayed.

All of my other altered palettes retain the changes I make except the Simple Entry Palette.

I've done this multiple times with the same results each time, whether I'm running Finale 25 as administrator or not.

How do I fix this bug? (other than just getting rid of the Simple Entry Palette altogether...)

Instead of removing the tools, can you drag the palette borders so that only that one tool shows?

Edit:

I slid the palette down until only a corner of it, with the repitch tool and a couple of others, was showing. (It seems that 4 tiles is the minimum.) I saved preferences, and quit Finale. When I reopened it, it was just as I had left it.

Mike H - I'm modifying the toolbar and then choosing Save Preferences from the File menu.

Mike R - I guess that can be doable. Still it's strange that I can get the Advanced Tools toolbar down to two tools, but if I winnow it down to one tool, the whole palette resets to the full list.

AHA! So I got this to work by removing all the tools except the Repitch tool, and then I added a Separator after that tool.

Apparently palettes need to have at least two items to save correctly, even if one of them is just a Separator. I wonder who made that design decision...

If a bug, should be addressed, If not, it should be mentioned in the Help files. You should submit it directly through the Submit a request link at the top of the page if you haven't done so already.
