speedy entry problem

I don't know why some of my keys in speedy entry don't work, I have tries many times, for example, add rest, add dots, grace notes, slash grave notes,

what is the problem?

Is there anything life reset to original setting?

I have recently re-set up my Mac book, and after that, I download finale again, and I discover the problem,

but I really don't remember if it already exists before I re-set up my Mac.

finale version is 25.5

Mac book is 10.13.3

We need a better description of the problem. Saying that something doesn’t work doesn’t help us to see if we can duplicate the problem or see if you are doing something wrong.

I cannot find how to make the rest toolbar visible on the screen at all times. The note options are there but not the rests. Do I have to go up to the tools bar EVERY TIME I want to insert a rest?

That’s in the Preferences as a box to be checked, applied and saved — if you don’t, it won’t be visible without hitting a modifier key (don’t remember which)

I would be showing links to screen shots etc but I’m on my phone. It’s in the Help files, can be Googled etc.

Back in the days of phone support, this was the only call I ever made that wasn’t about a licensing issue.
