Songwriter has limited functionality. That said, the 2012 edition added support for Insert Hard Space and Insert Hard Hyphen. It may be possible to do exactly what you want by playing with these.

I have no way of playing with this as I neither have Songwriter nor can I install it over High Sierra if I had a license.

If your version of Songwriter predates 2012 (the last year for Songwriter), I doubt that it can do what you want. If you are running OS 10.12 Sierra, I have no idea what does or does not work. Finale 25, of course, will have no problem with any of this,.

As Mike H said, SW can't do it. For one, there will be no way to hide time signatures. Also, no way to shift the notes so that the breve stays to the right when you enter the long text string. And no way to resize the A that you have in parends.

If this is what you have to do, than SongWriter falls short, I'm afraid. You would need the full Finale.

This was done in SW2012.

Then what I show in the screenshot is probably as close as you can get. Sorry.

Another issue in Finale SongWriter 2012 macOS High Sierra. How to remove the time signature at the end of the staff? (see Red oval on the picture)

Again, you can't. Another limitation of SongWriter.

If this is the type of work you need to do, you really need to upgrade. Sorry.

Plainsong and chant are easy in the full version of Finale. The other MakeMusic products do not have he features you need.
