I would like to add small cue notes to the existing score or part staff. For instance, if I am arranging a brass quintet, I would like to add a cue from another part in small notes. Can this be done as a layer?  So far I have been using full size notes on the staff and marking it as "horn cue" or what ever, then "play" later. It would be nice to have the cue as small notes with a full size rest above.  I am running PrintMusic 2014 on a PC (Win10).

Does PrintMusic have a Resize Tool (icon = %)?

 

If not, consider upgrading to the “full Finale”.

Yes.  But I have only used it to re-size the entire staff or page.  Is there a way to re-size the notes added to the full size, existing staff?

PM can only resize the page, system, or staff; not individual notes. Sorry.
