Every time, no matter what version of Finale I have had in the past several years, I have exported a file and saved to Desktop, or finale, and when I play the AIFF file back, there are always random glitches in the playback.  I have to then attempt this procedure for sometimes an hour in order to get a clean AIFF so I can create an MP3 file..  Does anyone else have that issue and if so, or not.. any solutions?  I have sent a message to tech support already.  But was curious if anyone else is plagued by this.

Thank you

We need more info.

1) You are using Mac Finale, right?

2) Your words are “… AIFF so I can create an MP3 file”.

When you export as Audio File, you do not have the choice of exporting in MP3 format, right?

This probably means that you, in the MIDI/Audio menu have selected “Play Finale Through Audio Units” (not “Play Finale Through MIDI”), right?

3) Take a look in

MIDI/Audio menu > Device Setup > Audio Setup…

In the dialog box Audio Setup, what is the Buffer Size?

If you are playing Finale through MIDI, you can export as an MP3.

To clear glitches, try Clear Selected Items... > MIDI Data. You could also try exporting as XML, and Importing same.
