Unwanted numbers appearing in PDF margins

Windows 10; Finale vs. 25.5

When I create PDFs of my score/parts I get unwanted numbers showing up in the bottom margin of some of my pages. These numbers do not appear in the working files. Perhaps coincidentally, perhaps not, they appear in the PDFs only on pages where tuplets, quintuplets, etc. occur.

On the "Forum" I was advised that this was a glitch in Finale's built-in PDF generator and it was suggested that I download Adobe or Foxit. As it turned out, I already had Adobe on my computer so I switched over to using it. The problem still occurred. Therefore, I've concluded that the issue is within the Finale program itself. This problem creates blemishes on otherwise very professional-looking scores/parts and I would be very grateful if the problem could be rectified.

Likewise, if there is some mysterious thing that *I* am doing to cause this problem I would love to know what it is.

This has come up before. Look at your score in both scroll and page views and see if those spurious numbers aren't really on the page somewhere.

Hi Karen, this is a known issue that can happen when exporting to PDF and is definitely bothersome for sure. If you are not able to get a good PDF without the artifacts, get in touch with us using the Submit a Request button above. We can take a closer look into this with you.

You might also try using the Graphics tool to export your PDF, rather than the File > dialogue.

Many of us use this strategy to get a true black, and a smaller file.

Thanks so much for your ideas, gentlemen! I've been through the file in both views and the "artifacts" are definite not there. I just tried creating a PDF with the Graphics tool and the spurious numbers are still there. So I will "submit a request". My file is very large so I'm not sure if I'll be successful but we'll give it a try. Thank you!
