I need to wipe my Macbook air hard drive and reset so that I can upgrade to the latest operating systems. Will it be simple to re-install Finale? What details will I need?

The only thing you should do (after backing up everything, of course!) is to deauthorize Finale. You can do it either from the help menu, or your account on the Finale website. After you reinstall, reauthorize.

If 25.4.1 or later, you can install over High Sierra. 26 is recommended for Mojave. Earlier versions will not install correctly. 

 

If you were to upgrade the OS instead, Finale 2012–2014.5 might work but there are definite issues.
