Other than the new stacked articulations and tremolo behavior, I don't see any major differences between 25 and 26. Still the same, tired, old code seems still to be driving it. Same bugs, same instability, same sluggishness and so on. This is what I paid for an upgrade? Can someone point to real under the hood differences that I'm missing?

Thanks

Doesn't anybody try the demo, first?

I don't try the demo cos I hope for improvement. Finale is my tool of trade. I don't care about paying for an upgrade. I'd pay hundreds if not thousands to see a overhauled program. New, modern coding that would bring it into the 21st century and have it be robust and stable - bug free.

No software is bug free. As for completely new and recoded and bla, bla, ba, you can watch the growing pains on the Dorico forum—still ain’t ready for prime time (but getting better if you can stand the workflow).

The Mac version of 26 was a nice improvement and well worth the cost, IMO. You’re just going to have to try the Windows version for yourself.
