Win7 / Print Music 2012

I enter triplets with first the 'tuple' tool, then enter the 3 notes, and then tap the first note of the triplet, as per instructions.

When I am inputting 4 triplets of eighth notes in a 4/4 measure, the last quarter of triplets is impossible to enter and the remaining time is filled with various small rests. How can I add the last triplet ? I can erase the mini-rest collection, but all I can enter is 2 eighth notes.

(Someone local suggested I enter a first triplet note and then do a ctrl-3 and the remainder eights notes can be added, but that does exactly nothing.)

RELATED:  How can I enter the first note of a triplet as a rest rather than a note, and if I enter it as all notes, how can I delete any particular note and enter an appropriate rest in the triplet ?

1) There are several ways to enter a tuplet.

You way of entering a tuplet has a problem with a tuplet that ends a measure.

Fix:

either

- use another way to enter tuplets,

or

- uncheck the option “Check for Extra Notes”.

2) To turn a note into a rest (Simple Entry or Speedy Entry):

Simple Entry Tool

Simple menu > Simple Edit Commands > Modify Entry > Toggle Note/Rest

Speedy Entry Tool

Speedy menu > Speedy Edit Commands > Delete Note
