I am not sure what you did, but try this:

Edit menu > Clear Selected Items…

De-select everything, and then select only {Notehead, Accidental and Tablature String Alterations}.

Document Options > Stems > Click Stem Connections button.

Make sure the stem connections on the quarter note head are positioned properly.

Is the picture you posted from a PDF file? Sometimes PDF files show problems that aren't there in the actual Finale file. If this is the case, try a different PDF creator.
