I recently encountered a problem opening some Finale files. When I click on File and the list of compositions appears, I find that some will not open. If I click on the name of the composition, the box in the lower right labelled "open" goes gray. Double-clicking on the name produces the same result. Can anyone help with this?

I eventually found a back-door approach that seems to work. I tried entering the name of the composition in the computer's general search bar, and when the computer found it in Finale files, I was able to open the files. However, when I tried using File Explorer, the files would not open.

Nevertheless, I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it.
