I always use measure numbers when setting my rehearsal markings. Is there a way I can make this my first choice instead of having to select it. As of now, the default is A, B, C, (#143). I would like to change it to Measure Numbers (#145).

I am using Mac OS 10.14.1 Mojave with Finale version 26.1.0.484

If you “always use measure numbers” when setting your rehearsal markings, consider deleting the two other rehearsal markings (= #143 and #144).

If you delete the rehearsal markings in the Template (or Document Style) you use for new documents, then all new documents will default to Measure Numbers.

 

In case you sometimes may need the other two rehearsal markings (= #143 and #144), then save them as a Library you can load into your Finale document when needed.

Also, you can create a meta-tool (keyboard shortcut) which enters the Measure Numbers expression sequence. That's very fast.
