I just upgraded to Finale 26.2 today. I immediately noticed that the stop button on the playback track does not reset the measure marker to the beginning of the piece unlike every other version of finale I have used. I have playback region set to start at "current counter setting" so I can type in a measure to start playing. These bugs only manifest themselves on this setting it seems. Also, ever since I upgraded to Finale 26, the home button or the "|<<" button which is supposed to also send the counter to the beginning of the piece has not worked. Ironically, the only way to get the start of the piece again is to press the ">>|" button which takes you to the end of the piece and resets the counter. I'm beginning to think that upgrading only makes Finale worse over the years as Finale 2014.5 seemed to have fewer bugs. Please fix this.

Fix what? Unable to reproduce this on my machine. As MikeR suggests, you want to send this to support.

Not saying you don’t have a problem but it might not be a bug.

With the holidays, it might be awhile before MM Support gets back to you (they almost never reply here). In the meantime, try the usual — reboot., Move the Preferences to the desktop so that Finale will rebuild them, reinstall and reboot. If on a Mac, rebuild your paths and desktop by booting with the Shift key held down.

If you have been running a DAW, that can sometimes interfere. Rebooting and trying Finale first should eliminate that as a cause.
