Is your problem that you cannot get the multi-measure rest?

You cannot get the double bar?

You get a final barline instead?

I need a multimeasure rest closing with a double bar instead of a single.  A final bar would be fine too

Just to get things clear:

1) If I understand you correctly, you have a movement that ends its last measure with a double bar-line, right?

2) And you do not have a problem with creating that double bar-line, right?

3) The last measures are empty, so you need to change those empty measures into one multimeasure rest, right?

4) And you do not have a problem with creating that multimeasure rest, right?

5) But the problem is that, as soon as you create the multimeasure rest, the double bar-line changes to a single bar-line, right?

Unfortunately I have not found a way to reproduce your problem.

For me, Finale behaves as expected.

In step 5) the double bar-line remains.

Try the reverse order:

First create the double bar-line in the last measure.

Then, create the multimeasure rest.

That worked great, thank you very much
