Hello everyone!

I recently did a factory reset on my Mac Pro, and am concerned that I removed some software needed to run Finale 2014.5. I've tried re-downloading it, and now every time I go to authorise it, is crashes. And when I don't authorise it, and try to select instruments in the Setup Wizard, it crashes.

I'd greatly appreciate any help!

Thank you so much,

Blair

If you are having trouble re-authorizing and cannot fix the problem by going to your MyAccount page on the finalemusic.com web site, you can try using the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page to see if support will help you. (Not sure whether support for 2014.5 has expired or not.)

Or what Mike said. (I am not as up-to-date on Macs as he is.)

There are a number of apps you can use for backups to avoid such issues in the future; but, as far as I know, you cannot simply "backup," "Copy" or even "clone" as they will not faithfully rebuild a HDD with programs like Finale. Only a "Sector-by-Sector Clone" will fully restore an installed program.

What Mike said. The 2014 license manager is incompatible with OS 10.14.
