Windows 10, final Finale
Hello to all of you still out there.

I have been working on some older files with Maestro font already set. They all are from the same set of pieces created and saved at the same time (era).
For some reason, some of the files convert, some don't. With a couple of them I tried changing the font to "Petrucci" (yes, still on the drop down list), and then changing to Finale Maestro. Weird.

Any suggestions?
Thank you! in advance!
:-)

How are you trying to change the fonts? There are a few different ways.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply.

I have been using "Document/Set Default Music Font..."

As I mentioned before, changing to Petrucci and then to Finale Maestro usually (if not always) works for changing the font for the music, but often the Expressions and Articulation don't change and I get some strange things. Easy enough to change, but tedious.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that already existing expressions and articulations do not change.

I think that this is by design, and what users have requested.

To change those other elements, one needs to go Document/Document Options/Fonts and select the category from there. This can be quite time consuming the first few times you go through it.

There's another short menu under Plugins/Miscellaneous/Change Fonts… I only use it to change Lyric fonts and sizes but it's quite a time savor.
