Rather than Explode, I would use JW Staff Polyphony, which has a setting to treat Single notes as unisons.  You can get the plugin at www.finaletips.nu

I have downloaded and put into the plug-ins directory but despite relaunch Finale26 the plug in is not recognised.

Any wheezes to know?

OK so plugin displays just like your Mac version and I select the options which actually are the default and press Apply. I get a dialogue which says the destination staves have notes, continue but nothing happens when I select OK.. I have selected the stave using the stave tool and it is show selected. Either that or nothing happens.

Idea?

I make sure the destination staff is actually empty, as a “just in case.”

How do you set the destination?
On Explode it adds the necessary staves but not on this plugin it seems.
I tried adding staves but there seems to be no method of selecting the destination.

The JW Staff Polyphony plug-in, by default, has Split Direction set to Down, but you have 3 other options.

The destination staves will be adjacent to the source staff, and empty. But of course, you can later copy/paste to other staves.

The plug-in also has a Swap function (under Staves). You can swap the selected contents of 2 staves, even non contiguous.

P.S. : Finale's Explode function can also use existing staves.
