OSX Monterey; iMac 27" retina mid 2017; 4Tb for operating system/files; 64Gb RAM; running Finale 27.2.0.142

I've been using Finale for since the 1990s and never run into this issue before.  I have a piece with 6 parts, all toy pianos

using UVI, Kontakt and Kontakt 5.   I've done it before without any issues--even 8 parts.  Suddenly, the first part will

output audio as a recording with no issue.  All others hit measure 74 of the piece and revert to live play instead of recording.

I've tried turning off Human Playback (which was on Standard).  It makes no difference.  If I play the piece, all voices play

through the entire piece without issue.  The problem only arises when I use the Export Audio File function in an attempt to

produce a recording of the piece.   Has anyone run into this?  Any ideas what it might be?

Try exporting the piece as XML, and importing it back in. That often clears up weird corruption.

Never did that before.  I will try it.

If this still happens after an xml export/import, you have something going on at meas. 74.

There have been a number of threads on this over the years with more than one cause. Search for playback stops at in the upper right of this page to see them.

Thanks, Mike H.  I had looked at those and after your suggestion looked at more of them.  This issue was not describedin the eight pages I reviewed.  The entire score will play properly.  It is only during an attempt to "export" as an audio file that all parts except the first one "hang" or an instant, then start playing aloud without recording further. I have not finished trying Mike R.'s suggestion, as when I did it last evening after seeing his  comment, it wiped all the settings from "score" and it takes a while to reset the six different  voices from UVI and NI in each part. (I have not yet tried using only Garritan voices to see if there is some issue with the use of 3d part voices--but I've done a lot of this in the past and not run into this particular issue.)  I'm at it now and hope to know soon if the xml "wipe" worked.   Thanks for the suggestion.

Tried the xml approach.  It did not work. Now I will open a case and submit the file to see if Tech folks

can find whatever it is that is causing this.  I did try substituting different Garritan voices for each of the

3d party voices I was using--but to no effect.   There must be something embedded in the code that

runs the program.  How it got there would be helpful to know--perhaps to others as well.  Thanks

to both of you Mikes for the suggestions.  Best regards.

This has probably already occurred to you, but how much free space do you have on the hard drive to which you are exporting?

I mentioned in the description of my system that the external drive is 4Tb, of which close to 2Tb are available.
