Another option would be to enter only the eighth notes, and join them with the dashed slur.

Or, you could use Jari's plug in, JW Staff Polyphony, which will split off the layers and the unison notes, to a separate staff.

Simple. PM even has a Handbell template. Just copy your piano score, and paste it into the new template. You can adjust the transposition in the Score Manager.
