I'm a little unclear. Are you trying to form chords, or add a contapuntal melody line?

What is your key signature? How are you entering your notes? If you are trying to enter it as a chord, enter a Cbbb.
CJ, I can see that the change from scroll view to page view involves applying a different set of spacing algorithm, since now, measures per staff comes into play. Wouldn't lyric spacing be reconsid...
What happens if you type them into the score in page view?
I'm getting the same message.
Where do you want to put them? NotePad will only put them where they are supposed to be. You can't adjust the position, other than vertically.
Contact MM sales staff and ask them.
