This capability in the Score Manager has not changed since Finale 2012. One can choose different instruments--even different devices--for each layer.

To have Finale not print "Score" at the top of every part, you have to replace the text field in the score with an insert (from the text menu) that calls the Text > Inserts > Score/Part Name option...

F 25 is not a free upgrade from F 2014 or any previous version. There is, however, a reduced upgrade price.

Make sure you are using the Selection Tool (and only use a single click). This looks as if you might have double-clicked on the note, which would put you into the Simple Entry Tool.

Use the Score Manager to set values for different layers via a pull-down arrow in the instrument row.
