All I can think of was to check your MIDI plugs to make sure the MIDI Out on the Keyboard is plugged into the MIDI In of your computer interface. Of course, if your MIDI keyboard connects via USB, ...

I can see it changing but would not expect it to go back to the original tempo unless there is MIDI tempo data already in teh file that overrides it. You can check this by selecting the entire file...
