No need for it. If you are entering with Simple Entry, just select the duration, and tap the 0 (zero) key on the numberpad. Or, enter a note of the correct duration, and tap the R key to turn it into a rest.
You can also open it when you begin the score. Not sure where to find it in 2010 but it's under Windows > Simple Entry Rests Palette in 2014.5. Once you Save, it will reappear the next time you open the score.
Parallel expired on m'y Mac and i lost FinalePrintMusic 2014 5.0. So I reinstaled FinalePrintMusic 2014 5.0... It asked me the serial number; but it didn't ask me m'y Authorisation code. Instead it gavée me an automatic Authorisation. So the programme worker but many tools are missing are missing and I can't worker. M'y Serial number is: - and m'y Authorisation code is: -. Coule You Hell me to give me back my Finale 20145.0 working again?
Depending on the operating system installed on your Mac (specifically if it is Sierra 10.12) you could be running into the palette issue related to the 2014.5 versions of our notation products discussed here: Finale products and macOS 10.12 Sierra.
