It’s the same Arco marking in all cases, with the same playback settings, right? Human playback is on as well, I’m assuming.

Hi David. Yes. I just used the Arco and pizz that are already in the expression tool. I just tried to add the file three different ways and it wouldn't attach... Not sure how to do it anymore, I guess...

This may be your issue:

I have a MacBook Pro 2017 Ventura 13.2.1

My Finale is 25.5.0.259

If so, you may need to upgrade to 27.

I now have Finale 27. But I don't get why this is a problem at all. It's not like there were issues switching back and forth before.I have put so much of the score in, I really don't want to rewrite the whole thing. If I were to create a new document and pull over the music where the problem starts, would that simply be pulling over the problem???? I have tried putting five Arco signs in and it does nothing. I even tried making the last few beats of the previous pizzicato section Arco and still nothing. There are a few minutes of pizzicato notes before the switch, but that really should get it "stuck", right???

Until we know exactly what you are doing and how, none of us are likely to know the problem. Quite often, global fixes to a document aren’t difficult.
