Hi
I have Finale ver 25.3.0.276 on a very old PC (operating system Windows 10 Enterprise).
I would like to transfer my Finale-software to my new MAC instead.
OR
If I cannot do that, then at least I would like to export all my Finale files to musicxml so I can still work with them in my new software.
I now have Dorico notation software.
1. First I tried to find my Finale at makemusic.com
The website say "There is no registered notation software on this account."
2. I have my serial number and usedcode - so I tried to register new product on the website.
But It does not work. The website say: "The Serial Number is not valid for this customer."
(I have tried with both the individual and organization-ownership option (since I do not remember if it is my job that bought the license or if it was me back in the day...)
So I give up this and go back to my old PC computer.
I have to export all of my old finale files to music xml to be able to work with them on my new MAC in Dorico.
Well, surprise surprise - THAT DOESN´T WORK EITHER! :-(
3. I can open the file in Finale, but when I go to " Archive - Export - Export Musicxml" I get the error-message:
"Finale noticed an error and will be closed"
(I have a Swedish version of the software - so maybe this translation is a little wrong - but you probably understand :-)
I also get this message: "MusicXML Java native initiation error" (Directly translated from swedish)
SO, I AM STUCK!
WHAT CAN I DO???
