When setting up new document using Finale Wizard, Finale crashes ... will not create a new document. Operating system is MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

I recently purchased New Mac Pro --mid-2015 model - in fall 2017. Upgraded from 2010 Mac Pro. Suggestions to fix the issue would be appreciated.

Finale 2011 was transferred to my new MacPro at the time of purchase.

Upgrade to Finale 25. Your 2011 isn't supported on OS 10.12.

Sorry.

There are known compatibility issues between (the older) Finale 2011 (developed in 2010) and (the newer) Mac OS Sierra 10.12.

Upgrade Finale, or downgrade Mac OS.

What Peter said.

You would have to downgrade the OS to 10.9 or earlier for Finale 2011 to install properly. This cannot be done on your new Mac Pro. If previously installed and the OS is updated, it will run but with limitations.

Pulling it over via Migration Assistant from another Mac or Time Machine, as was done in your case, gets it partially installed, but it is crippled and fairly unusable. This is what is happening on your machine. You can try running the installer from your CD, download and and run the 2011c updater. If that works to install the missing components properly, you’ll be able to run with limitations. If this doesn’t work, your only choice is to update to 25.

Finale 2011 will not run at all in High Sierra.
