First of all - thanks to all of You out there that bother answering all these questions. It is really helpful!!
So to my issue for the day:
Ex 1 = Before changing stem lenght. Ex. 2 = The result I often get, but don't want. Ex 3 = The result approximately as I want it.
For the time beeing I am working on a lot of choral music for organ, with lyric - the first verse, attached on top of the G-key staff.
I am using standard two staff set up for piano. Two layers in the G-key and two layers in the F-key. I want to shorten the stem lenght to narrow the space between the lyrics and the notes/staff. Especially regarding beamed notes (beamed eights).
Measuerement units: Centimeter. I shorten the stems from normal: 0,74083, to 0,65 or 0,63. After shortening, a lot of my beamed notes gets a much steeper angle - that I do not want. It looks like this increases, the shorter I tell the stems to be. It is no difference wether I set the stem lenght before entering the notes or after. I assume I also need to change other things too, not only the stem lenght, to avoid this behaviour, but I do not know what.
It also seems that some of the beamed notes actually get longer stems.......
Any help here would be most useful!
