I have been using Finale 2014.5, v26 upgrade for years, and suddenly, it now stops working, saying "quit unexpectedly" with no explanation. Why? and how can this be remedied, so I can continue using this program on Mac as before?

Hi - :Thanks for the response. The Mac version I am using is macOS Mojave version 10.14.4
I am using Finale 2014.5 with the Finale v26 upgrade. My Finale program says in have Version14.5 7098
Does your note mean that "that is to be expected", so, I cannot continue to use the program on my Mac with its current operating system?
Now, today, I seem to be able to use it. Should I expect it to crash again?
There is no such thing as 2014.5 with the 26 upgrade. If you were using Finale 2014.5, and upgraded to 26, you are now using Finale 26.
Did you purchase and install the Finale 26, or just download it, thinking that it was automatic?
From tech support:
Finale 2014.5 is considered compatible with macOS 10.8 to 10.12. So we do not expect that you will get favorable results when using this version of Finale with 10.14 Mojave and this is not supported.
What Mike R. says. 2014.5 crashes in Mojave for nearly all users. At the top of this board is a message from MakeMusic explaining that 2014/2014.5 is no longer supported.
You can download 26 and it works for a 30 day evaluation period but it is a paid upgrade. 26 does not require 2014.5 to be on your system. Licensing and upgrade eligibility are handled in your MakeMusic (FinaleMusic) User Account. If you've downloaded it already, look in your Applications Folder and you'll see it as a separate installation with a slightly different icon.
