I'm using the current version of Finale 27. When I print 11 x 14 or tabloid to pdf, the top margin is all wrong - almost at the top. When I print 8.5 x 11, no problem. Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas about what to try?

Thank you!

Windows or Mac? How are you “printing” the PDF?

From looking at Judith Shatin’s previous posts I suspect the Mac version of Finale.

Judith Shatin,

Instead of “printing” to a PDF file, try using the Graphics Tool, and export to PDF.

Other users (Mac Finale) have reported success with PDF export from the Graphics Tool.

The basic print to pdf issue for the MacOS got fixed in 27.

We will need more info beginning with the MacOS version and the printer you are using.

I print concert size (9x12) on every band chart I create. I have no issues but I am using Windows and Finale 27.2.

You are setting your margins correctly in Finale after you have selected the correct paper size? I use doPDF v11 and set a "Custom Size" in this case 9x12. It prints beautifully. The only problem is finding 9x12 paper!

You might check to see if doPDF v11 is available for Mac.

Hi - Yes, Mac, Monterey OS, Finale 27. It's odd - works perfectly at 8.5 x 11, but not at larger sizes.

And thanks for the tip about the graphics tool - will try that.

If that does not work, please answer the rest of my question which is what printer and, if you know it, what driver — depends on the printer if you will know this or not.
