I click Update Layout, then Save after adjusting measure widths. Seems to work.
You can get the Upgrades from within Finale itself, "Check for Updates". The web-site didn't work for me either.
If the flat is moved too far, it could look like a "D" "flat 5", or whatever extension, instead of DFlat , and whatever extension.
Enter a "D" chord, use the Edit Button to add and place the b and other elements.
Try restarting your computer. Usually Glisses are fine, but do go wonky.
Answer the question with YES! Then it will add it to the Library, and you can customize the Size. Font, and Spacing.
Are you assigning Dynamic Expressions? That's all I ever use.
Staff Styles works fine all versions of Finale I've had, now F25.
I have the same problem, and know of no solution. Multiple Clicks are also needed on Expressions and Smart Shapes, very annoying. Then there's the Page flipping back and forth, VERY annoying. I hop...
