I think there was a misunderstanding of what you wanted. In any case, the backward repeat is overriding the systemic right barline. You'll have to add those in using the expression tool.
From how I understand Finale works, it should save everything you have created in the file. Not sure why things are not saving for you. Perhaps you are trying to copy the music into a blank documen...
