Judith, Without seeing the file, I can’t be sure what the problem is. But, double-clicking on a lyric (with the selection tool) should bring it up. If that doesn’t work, please let us know!
Mike, You don't have the option to show clefs or not, in PM. You can change them, but not hide them. It depends on how the document is set up.
