I am using a  MacBook Pro with finale 27 and have been using this for years.  I have been using this type of computer for at least 10 years without a problem whatsoever.  I saved the song I was working on, shut everything down, ate a quick bite of supper and when I started everything back up Finale will not let me do anything but simple entry mode.   I use speedy entry and just use the up/down cursors to change pitch and number keys for note values.  I have opened multiple files and it is the same, so not is Finale 27 not the file itself. Everything works fine on our other Mac computer.  I uninstalled Finale, and reinstalled, restarted and all that.  Still will not let me do anything but Simple Entry???  Any suggestions?

Ventura 13.0.1

2GHz Quad-core intel i5

16GB Ram

Finale 27 has worked flawlessly since I downloaded it.  I am wondering if it is the new Mac OS upgrade.

May be. Finale over Ventura has not yet been cleared for takeoff.

 

You do want to get this to Support via the Submit a request link at the top of the page. Either they know about it and have a solution for you to try or are working on it. It's also possible they haven't seen your issue and will want to know more. MM shuts down over the weekend so it's unlikely anyone will be looking till Monday.

 

Let us know what happens.

I did submit a request but I’m sure they won’t see it until Monday.
I just saw an article from the Final folks concerning Ventura and Finale 27 but haven’t read it yet.
The funny thing is that it worked for a while then did this. I’m sure it will be resolved 😃
